Superdisintegrating polymers enable rapid tablet breakdown, enhancing drug dissolution, bioavailability, and absorption. They’re crucial in oral disintegrating tablets, fast-dissolving films, and chewables, benefiting pediatric, geriatric, and dysphagic patients. Mechanisms include swelling, wicking, and enzymatic degradation. Both natural and synthetic polymers are used, with research on novel biodegradable alternatives.

Excessive fertilizer use affects mite populations in Maharashtra’s agroecosystems by causing toxicity and altering plant and soil conditions, disrupting food webs and biodiversity. Mites, vital across trophic levels, are impacted, risking ecological imbalance and human health. Research is needed to develop sustainable practices ensuring food security and environmental protection.
Huntington’s disease lacks effective treatments. Manilkara zapota (sapodilla) contains bioactive compounds like polyphenols, flavonoids, tannins, and terpenes with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective properties potentially beneficial for HD. Its nutrients enhance health, suggesting therapeutic potential. Clinical studies are needed to confirm efficacy and safety in managing HD symptoms.
This study emphasizes that the convergence of AI and Big Data holds immense potential to transform environmental governance and ecosystem management. With responsible implementation, these technologies can drive the transition toward a more sustainable, resilient, and data-informed future for planetary health.
Stiff Person Syndrome is a rare neurological disorder with muscle stiffness and spasms linked to GAD autoantibodies. Treatments include muscle relaxants, benzodiazepines, and immunotherapies like IVIG, plasmapheresis, and rituximab. Emerging therapies, including monoclonal antibodies and stem cell approaches, offer hope for better disease control and improved patient outcomes.
The study reveals that the pond water is highly polluted which is leading to the stage of eutrophication due to the unplanned urbanizations, disposals of solid wastes and anthropogenic activities by the nearby people. However, there is an urgent need of an action for conservation and to reduce pollution level before it becomes unmanageable.
The global rise in the geriatric population, projected to exceed 1.5 billion individuals aged 65 and above by 2050, underscores the need for accessible oral healthcare services, particularly prosthodontics. Mobile dental units (MDUs) represent a promising intervention to deliver essential care to elderly individuals who face barriers to traditional dental clinics. This systematic review critically […]

Traditional paper production relies on wood pulp as a primary raw material (Worku, L. A., et al., 2023). This often leads to deforestation. To mitigate the impact of paper production on deforestation Ipomoea carnea can be used as an alternative fiber source. Ipomoea carnea is a shrub. The Ipomoea carnea belongs to the family Convolvulaceae […]
